Addressing health inequality in randomised trials

Addressing health inequality in randomised trials

Moderna, the company behind one of the UK’s COVID vaccines, has been speaking to members of under-served communities and others, including HSRU’s Prof Shaun Treweek, about how to address inequality in clinical trials.

This has led to an approach called ACT– Accessible; Convenient; Trusted – that Moderna will promote in its trials, as well as in discussion with others such as the UK Government and regulators. Prof Treweek attended the launch event for ACT, held at the Houses of Parliament on 27th November. His link with Moderna continues and a similar event is planned for the Scottish Parliament in Spring 2024.

You can find out more about ACT by reading the Moderna Health Equality and Diversity in Clinical Trials Insights Paper.
