This month we have welcomed new PhD students and visiting colleagues. These include:
- Lucy Halamova is one of three Dunhill Foundation students working on ageing and will be co-supervised by Louise Locock and Stephen Makin (Rural health centre in Inverness) and Louise Phillips in Psychology. She’ll be working on decision-making about care homes in older age.
- Frank You, MRC DTP PhD Student, working with Katie Gillies on a project titled ‘Changing behaviour to enable design and delivery of low carbon trials?’
- Mojca Cerar, SGSSS DTP PhD Student, working with Katie Gillies on a project titled ‘Can audit and feedback be applied to target healthcare professionals recruitment and retention behaviour in RCTs? A mixed methods exploration? . Mojca wont be formally based in HSRU until 2024 but she will be joining Katie’s team meetings.
- Dr Matthew McDonald (enAble Institute, School of Population Health, Curtin University), who worked on the Game of Stones Feasibility study, gave a seminar entitled: ‘ A Self-Directed Online Enrolment Process versus a Phone Call. A Study Within the Multi-State/Territory Aussie-Fans in Training Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Trial.’
