We are pleased to be able to announce that we now have an HSRU Blog, hosted within the HSRU website.
The purpose of the Blog as well as to provide information and opinion is to actively engage our audience in discussion, debate or general conversation via the use of the comments section which we encourage you to use.
Our first blog category is InSTAR and the first post is - InSTAR - Inhaled Steriods in ARDS, by Callum Kaye about the proposed future study of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). The team would like to hear people's thoughts about how families are approached when patients may not be able to provide consent to take part in a trial like this.
The Care in Funerals project was developed following concerns about the ways death rites and ceremonies was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and regulations introduced to manage it. You will find the Care in Funerals blog here and there are 7 interesting and varied blog posts to read. The Care in Funerals team, which includes Vikki Entwistle, Louise Locock and Jennie Riley, would be grateful to hear about your experiences in this area.
Our third blog is Ageing, Home & Care and the first blog is titled 'I suppose it's probably time to start looking at a care home, isn't it?'. The researchers behind this blog, which includes Louise Locock and Andrew Maclaren, are planning a project looking at the experiences of people who have had to consider a care home and would love to hear from people who have had to make this decision either for themelves or a loved one, as well as from health or social care staff who have helped people making choices about care.
We are hoping that over time we will be adding more blog categories and that you will enjoy reading them and you will leave comments which will help us greatly. To view all of the current blog posts head over to the main Blog page.
