Prof Shaun Treweek from the University of Aberdeen's Health Services Research Unit and Dr Violet Warwick from the University of Dundee's Breast Imaging Research Group will be turning to steampunk to give an exposition extraordinaire on three important decisions that are made in clinical trials as part of TechFest's 'Snappy Science', a series of very short science talks organised by another researcher at the Health Services Research Unit, Dr Heidi Gardner.
As Prof Treweek and Dr Warwick will be giving their talk in the University of Aberdeen’s Zoology Building, it is therefore quite natural that these important trial decisions will be discussed in the context of woodland animals. To quote Prof Treweek ‘It’s trials Jim but not as we know it.’
Snappy Science is a series of 20 minute talks given by 9 separate speakers, each of which will repeat. It is a free event that runs on 8th September between 11.00 and 13.00. It is part of the Doors Open Day at the University of Aberdeen’s Zoology Building, St Machar's Drive, Aberdeen.
