We welcome Cecilia Kållberg to the Unit for a week from Oct 31st.
She is a physician and PhD-student at the University of Oslo and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, working with issues related to antibiotic research and development, responsible use and access as part of the EU-project DRIVE-AB (Driving reinvestment in research and development and responsible antibiotic use, http://drive-ab.eu/).
Her PhD-thesis focuses on market introduction of new antibiotics, the effect of generic entries on sales, and the impact of policy interventions on sales. The work will contribute to the overall aim of DRIVE-AB which is to develop recommendations for new economic models to incentivize antibiotic development, while at the same time supporting responsible use and access of new antibiotics. The final project report is scheduled for 2017. She will be collaborating with Jemma Hudson, Graeme MacLennan and Craig Ramsay from HSRU drawing from their experience from conducting interrupt time series analysis.
