The post will suit a candidate whose main research interests lie within the field of applied microeconometrics, labour economics or behavioural economics. The successful candidate will join existing multidisciplinary teams specialising in the economics of health behaviours and health care workforce.
Individuals with a PhD in health economics, labour economics, econometrics, or closely related quantitative discipline are encouraged to apply. Applications are also welcomed from individuals with an MSc in a relevant quantitative discipline plus extensive research experience in an academic setting.
This post is funded by the Scottish Government’s and will be available for a period of 12 months.

Research Assistant/Fellow (Ref: ROW007R)

This post offers the opportunity to contribute to a programme of research related to dietary choice. The post holder will contribute to two specific projects; identifying the impact of dietary information in different populations and analysing influences over children’s food choices.
For appointment at Grade 5: individuals should have an MSc in economics/health economics/behavioural economics or closely related quantitative discipline.
For appointment at Grade 6: individuals will be expected to have a PhD in economics/health economics/behavioural economics or a related discipline with a substantial component of training in quantitative methods, or an equivalent MSc and extensive research experience to demonstrate the ability to work at this level.
The post is funded by the Scottish Government’s Strategic Research Programme and is offered for a period of 4 years.
