Many congratulations to HERU's Graham Scotland, Patrícia Norwood and Michael Abbott, who have all recently achieved promotion.
In the latest round of academic promotions at the University of Aberdeen, Graham Scotland was awarded a Personal Chair, and Patrícia Norwood promoted to Advanced Research Fellow. Graham is the theme leader in HERU's Assessment of Technologies theme, and holds a joint post with Health Services Research Unit (HSRU). The award recognises Graham's experience working in the area of health technology assessment and his role as a research leader in economic evaluation.
Patrícia works on projects associated with the Health Behaviour theme and last year was awarded funding from the Scottish Government Rural and Environment Science and Analytical Services Division (RESAS) for a five-year programme of work to investigate public attitudes and preferences for healthy and sustainable diets.
HERU's Michael Abbott was also recently promoted from Research Assistant to Research Fellow, and will continue his research on the economic evaluation of genome sequencing for rare disease diagnosis.
We are delighted at their success and congratulate all three on their achievement.
