In our latest HERU blog post we highlight the on-going DIAMOND study into ‘Deep infiltrating endometriosis: management by medical treatment versus early surgery’. The DIAMOND study is a randomised controlled trial to compare the clinical and cost-effectiveness of laparoscopic surgery versus medical treatment for the management of deep endometriosis. Our blog post looks at the health economic component of the trial and discusses the challenges in undertaking the economic analysis.
