The latest HERU Blog post discusses 'Lives, livelihoods and lockdowns: the public's views on the COVID-19 lockdowns'. This is a follow up to an earlier blog post and highlights some of the initial findings of our research into public preferences and trade-offs for government responses during a pandemic. The post looks at how much the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated lockdowns have changed people’s daily routines, affected their healthcare (or that of their loved ones) and impacted on standards of living. The research was carried out with survey respondents from Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and comparisons are made across the different nations.
