We have a new HERU Blog post highlighting research indicating that ultrasound scans offer the best value for money to follow up patients after surgery for abdominal aortic aneurysm.
The blog post looks at the findings from an evidence synthesis and economic evaluation on the clinical and cost-effectiveness of using contrast-enhanced ultrasound and/or colour duplex ultrasound in the long-term surveillance of endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair.
The EVAR project was carried out in the Assessment of Technologies theme at HERU, in collaboration with researchers from the Health Services Research Unit (HSRU).
Thanks to Dr Rodolfo Hernández for providing the blog post.
