This training course was ran by HERU on behalf of the Health Economics Network for Scotland (HENS). Providing an introduction to the identification, appraisal and application of economic evaluation for policy-making in public health, the course is suitable for planners, finance directors and other health and social care staff who manage budgets or resources but who have no prior experience in economic evaluation.

The course took place at the Apex Grassmarket Hotel in Edinburgh from 9.30am (registration from 9am) to 4pm. The presenters of the course were Professor Paul McNamee, Professor Stirling Bryan and Aileen Neilson (Usher Institute of Population Health Sciences and Informatics, University of Edinburgh).
