Dr Findlay Walker graduated MBChB from Aberdeen in 1967 and began his career in general practice in Scotland. He moved to the USA for a career in pharmaceuticals and spent 25 years with Merck, Sharp and Dohme, latterly as senior director of international marketing and then as a vice president at Daiichi-Sankyo. On his retirement in 2010 he and his wife Yvonne moved to Mount Pleasant, SC.

He was a driving force behind the original US University of Aberdeen Development Trust, which was renamed the University of Aberdeen Foundation, and remained on the board until his untimely death in September 2013. Findlay was a devoted friend and family man and a dedicated champion of his University.

To the University's many graduates and American friends, please give generously to this worthwhile cause.
