The University of Aberdeen has risen two places in the Complete University Guide and is ranked 35th in the UK in the 2024 edition.
The Complete University Guide (CUG) is based on ten measures, which include student satisfaction, research quality, student-to-staff ratio, spending on student facilities, and graduate prospects.
The University of Aberdeen's student satisfaction as measured by the National Student Survey is among the highest in the UK, and this strong performance is reflected in the CUG- where the University has been ranked 8th overall for student satisfaction, a rise of ten places
Entry standards also scored highly, with the University being ranked 10th in the UK on this measure and 7th for research intensity.
Aberdeen has also been ranked in the 2024 Guide for 37 subjects. The top-ranked subject in the league table is Theology & Religious Studies (3rd in the UK). This is one of five subjects to make the Top 10 this year along with Biomedical Sciences (5th), Drama, Dance & Cinematics (6th), Linguistics (6th) and Anthropology (10th).
Overall, the University moved up the table for 28 of the 37 subjects it was ranked for this year.
