The School of Geosciences at the University of Aberdeen wishes to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer as part of our ongoing programme to expand the research activities of the Human Geography group where research is centred around the theme of Smart Sustainable Futures. Specifically, Geography and Environment is pursuing an ambitious strategy to expand a recently established research group, Low Carbon Society. The new appointment will (i) contribute to the further development of the Low Carbon Society research group, (ii) play a lead role in the coordination and future development of one of Geography and Environment's taught postgraduate programmes, the Master of Land Economy Rural Surveying and Rural Property Management (MLE) and (iii) contribute to further development of a second taught postgraduate programme, the MSc Environmental Partnership Management. Some contributions to team-taught courses on the undergraduate Geography and Environment programme will also be expected.
