MARS CHAMBER

Mars Chamber at the Astrobiology Lab in Meston

The Mars chamber at the Astrobiology Lab (Meston 119) of the School of Geosciences is used for research and instrument calibration in vacuum and various planetary environmental conditions. The chamber allows control of the environment's temperature, pressure, relative humidity, gas composition, and UV radiation doses, and used for testing and certifying space instrumentation to increase their Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
