Biography
Dave is a geologist, with further interests in mineralogy and geochemistry. He has a focus on interdisciplinary science, applying techniques such as Raman spectroscopy to not only geological processes, but further into environmental sciences (wildfires), archaeology (cremations) and more recently in collaboration with medical colleagues studying cancers.
In January 2020 Dave took over the role as Head of School of Geosciences.
Dave obtained his BSc in Earth Science from the University of Glasgow and then his PhD from the University of Aberdeen.
