The Department of Geology and Geophysics is located in the Meston Building on the Kings College campus in Old Aberdeen (at the north end of Aberdeen).
The Department covers two floors at the north end of the building, with most of the staff offices and teaching areas on the first floor. The building (10 on the campus map) is conveniently located near the University Library (9 on the map).

Getting here from the Aberdeen (Dyce) Airport (ABZ)
There is no direct bus service from the airport to the Meston Building. Taxis are available from the airport entrance, and should take approximately 20 minutes (depending on the time of day), at a cost of approximately £18.
Getting here from the Railway Station/City Centre
Buses that serve the main university entrance on King Street may be caught on Union Street, just five minutes' walk from the railway station. They are First in Aberdeen Overground "Red Line" services 1 (Danestone) and 2 (Ashwood) operate to a combined 6 minute frequency during the daytime and a combined 15 minute frequency in the evening and on Sundays. Returning to the City, these buses show 1/1A (Garthdee) or 2 (Auchinyell).
Other bus services that pass the main university entrance on King Street are 13 (Dubford) which only run during the day on a 30 minute frequency from Monday-Saturday; returning to the City, these buses show 13 (Scatterburn).
Other bus services (starting from Broad Street) which serve the campus are:
- First in Aberdeen Overground Indigo Line 20 (Hillhead) travels along College Bounds every 20 minutes during the day from Monday-Saturday and every 30 minutes at other times
- First in Aberdeen Overground Turquoise Line 19 (Tillydrone) travels via Bedford Road past the University Library, every 15 minutes during the day from Monday-Saturday and every 30 minutes at other times.
