Human Geographers from Aberdeen will be well represented at the upcoming Annual International Meeting of the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) in London (26-29 August), with participation spanning a variety of activities and showcasing ongoing research in a number of areas.
Highlights include sessions on ‘The Co-production of Digital Geography’, co-convened by Research Fellows Dr Elisabeth Roberts and Dr David Beel, and papers on topics ranging from tools for planning passenger transport services in rural areas and implications of the scheduling and timing of shopping journeys on transport energy demand, to the impacts of Next Generation Broadband (NGB) on small and medium enterprise (SMEs) in the North of Scotland and the impacts of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) on interdisciplinary research in human geography.
