Aberdeen hosts International Glaciological Society British Branch Meeting, Sept 4th-6th 2012
On 4th to 6th September 2012 the Cryosphere and Climate Change group host >80 international glaciologists at the University of Aberdeen for the 37th annual International Glaciological Society British Branch Meeting. This is the premier UK meeting for Glaciology, and comprises a mixture of oral and poster presentations throughout the two day event. Enquiries about the meeting can be made to igsbb2012@abdn.ac.uk
As part of the meeting, former Aberdeen Geography and Environment Professor David Sugden will receive the Seligman Crystal for his outstanding contributions towards the science of glaciology (see related news item).
Also allied to the meeting, Dr. Robert Bingham and Dr. Douglas Mair are hosting a British Science Festival event: “The Future of Our Polar Regions: What Can We Do and How Can Science Help?” (see related news item).
