A new informal seminar series for the Geography & Environment Postgraduate and Early Career research community
A new student-led seminar series for the Geography & Environment research community is starting this month.
Aimed at PGR students and early career researchers clustered around Geography & Environment, the sessions will be held in person on the last Thursday of every month in Room 118 St Mary’s building at 3pm.
The sessions will provide the opportunity to meet and discuss research topics, share areas of interest, allow for presentation practice and receiving feedback.
January’s speaker is Camilo Torres, a historian from Bogotá with experience in research and activism on mobility justice and the right to the city. Camilo has an MA in History and Geography and is currently finishing a PhD in Geography at the University of Aberdeen. He will be giving a talk titled: Cycling safety, inequalities, and citizen participation in Bogota, Colombia.
We hope to see you there!
