Glaciologist Brice Rea recently delivered a talk for the Inverness Field Club entitled "Our changing climate: how we got here, what does a 1.5°C change look like and how worried should we be?"
The talk provided a brief overview of our climate system, what drives it over short and long timescales, what apparently small global average temperature changes actually mean, how we assess our climate future and why annual COPs matter! The talk was well attended by members of Inverness Field Club which is approaching its 150th anniversary having been formed in 1875.
