Student, families and our Geography staff recently celebrated the summer 2022 graduation ceremonies. We congratulate all our wonderful graduates and wish them all the best for their future!
We have also awarded a number of prizes to our Geography students and nominated some candidates for national awards.
The Deeside Field Club Prize in memory of Dr John S Smith – awarded to the best Honours or Joint Honours Geography student in their final year of University who completed no less than 50% of their Honours courses in Geography:

Professor Roy Mellor Memorial Prize in Human Geography – awarded for the best thesis in human geography:

The Royal Scottish Geographical Society’s (RSGS) University Medal – awarded to the best Geography student in the final honour’s year in each Scottish University:

The Alfred Steers Dissertation Prize (RGS-IBG; nomination only) – the best undergraduate dissertation in a UK Geography Department: Georgina Ogg
The Caitlin Cottrill Memorial Prize – awarded to the best Honours or Joint Honours Geography student in their third (junior Honours) year of University, who has completed no less than 50% of their Honours courses in Geography:
