The Horizon 2020-funded CONTRACTS2.0 project combines the expertise of 26 partners across the EU to develop and test innovative agri-environmental contracts. Researchers and practitioners are progressing ideas such as results-based payments for public environmental good, effectively integrating value chain approaches and making the most of collaborative agreements. Dr Katrin Prager from the Department of Geography and Environment leads a work package and the UK case study and hosted a key meeting at the University’s Sir Duncan Rice Library in November 2019. Meeting participants also had the opportunity to discuss the farmer cluster approach at the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s demonstration farm near Tarland.
