Lorna Philip and Mags Currie (James Hutton Institute) addressed the Cross Party Group on Rural Policy on the 5th June 2018. This group informs MSPs and the wider Scottish Parliament about issues relating to rural policies and policy-making in Scotland. The theme of the June meeting was Technology and Rural Communities and Lorna and Mags drew from their portfolio of rural digital economic research to present on the topic Digitisation and Rural Communities: priorities, preferences, barriers and opportunities
