Physical Geography at the University of Aberdeen has ranked equal first in the UK for satisfaction with the teaching on my course in the 2017 National Student Survey (NSS), while Human Geography has also ranked highly in several indicators. Some key highlights include the following:
- Physical Geography has come in 3rd out of 67 comparable institutions for My course has challenged me to achieve my best work, and 2nd in My course has provided me with opportunities to explore ideas or concepts in depth.
- Human Geography has come 5th out of 45 institutions teaching the discipline for It is clear how student’s feedback on the course has been acted on, and 6th out of 45 institutions teaching the discipline for Marking and assessment has been fair.
These results are reflective of the high standard of teaching offered to Aberdeen Geography undergraduates, and the extent to which staff value and contribute to the student experience.
