Three Carnegie Small Research Grants have been awarded to Department of Archaeology staff, enabling research visits to Alaska and Canada this summer.
Last week, researchers in the Department of Archaeology received not one - not two - but three! - Carnegie Research Grants. The grants, awarded to Rick Knecht, Kate Britton and Charlotta Hillerdal, will enable research to be carried out in Canada and Alaska this summer. All three will be working at our field site in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Nunalleq, this coming August. Rick will also undertake research on Kodiak Island, Alaska, and Kate will undertake research with collaborators at the University of British Columbia while in Vancouver.
