Ben MacDonald is to give a Masterclass on Friday with Students from the music department.
This is an opportunity for students to learn some improvisation techniques from one of Scotlands young up and coming professionals. This impressive 4-piece Vibrant young jazz rock band includes some of the country’s most highly accomplished jazz musicians, all of whom have performed at International level. Ben’s writing is a showcase of technically brilliant, high energy, original compositions, which, while respecting the jazz tradition, are also inspired by many other genres, producing interesting pieces with a progressive attitude and highly listenable format. Features Adam Jackson on saxophone, Pete Johnstone on piano and Doug Hough on drums.
