An illustrated talk by Professor Iain Stewart hosted by The Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
Professor Stewart is the president of RSGS and an acclaimed TV presenter. In his talk he traces the geological and technological tipping points that transformed oil from an unwanted waste product into a substance on which our modern world completely relies. Exploring the past, present, and future story of our petroleum, he asks if we really are coming to the end of the Hydrocarbon age.
Tickets for Non-members of the RSGS are £15.00 per head for adults, and £8.00 per head for students and U18s. Tickets are available here.
It is expected that demand for this talk will be high. There may be a limited number of tickets available for sale at the door on the evening of the talk from 7.00 p.m.
Car parking is free and ramp entry is available.
