Conference to discuss energy inequality and how to achieve energy equity.
This conference will provide an opportunity for government officials from Scotland, the fourteen African Commonwealth nations, national and international energy companies in sub-Saharan Africa, investors, financial Institutions and development partners from academia and civil society to meet and exchange ideas on how best to promote energy equity. It will also be a platform to examine case studies and examples of good practice from Commonwealth countries and from Scotland and to identify challenges encountered.
Speakers include: Senior Government Ministers and officials from Scotland and Commonwealth countries, representatives of: the United Nations Sustainable Energy for All Initiative (Vienna), the energy sector, the Scottish Fuel Poverty Forum, academia and civil society.
