RV Jones Lecture - Complex Patterns in Granular and Suspension Flows: Examples and Underlying Physics
-
This is a past event
Flows of particles and particle-fluid suspensions are ubiquitous in nature and in engineering applications.
Numerous examples of structure formation in such flows have been reported in literature. Professor Sankaran Sundaresan will touch upon several examples ranging from segregation of particles in simple flows to dynamic structures in suspension flows in fluidisation processes, and examine the driving force behind the formation of such structures.
