The University of Aberdeen is holding its annual University-wide Postgraduate Open Day on the 11th November from 11am - 5pm at the Elphinstone Hall on the King's College Campus.
The event is designed to give interested students and graduates an insight into postgraduate study, and the opportunity to learn more about the University of Aberdeen. A postgraduate qualification helps you stand out from the crowd and can significantly boost your employability and earning potential. Research by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) indicates that graduates with a Masters qualification earn around 32% more as a starting salary than graduates with a first degree alone.
At Aberdeen we have offer 140 Taught Masters degrees and an extensive range of Research Opportunities. Funding is available for many of these programmes.
Our academic staff will be giving presentations on some of the key issues regarding postgraduate study including the main benefits and how to secure funding for your studies; our current students will be answering questions on their experiences at the University; and there will also be tours of the historic campus and new multi million pound sports complex throughout the day.
All visitors to the day will receive a welcome pack containing information about our courses, funding and other useful information. Visitors will also receive a 2Gb Aberdeen USB pen drive with all the presentations of the day and useful web links to make getting onto the perfect course as easy as possible!
