This presentation will demonstrate, using two examples, the diversity of the engineering challenges Prospect's clients serve up.
The first covers work that was carried out with input from Emeritus Professor Michael Baker (Aberdeen). It shows how advanced reliability methods (directional simulation) were coupled with non-linear FEA to support the design of critical subsea pipeline components.
The second example illustrates the use of CFD in various aspects of decommissioning offshore platforms.
In both examples the focus will be on Prospect's approach centred on defining clear objectives and deliverables before deploying the necessary engineering analysis techniques to furnish the answers.
