This session is for academics looking to find out more about KTP funding. It will provide an overview of the funding scheme, outlining the key drivers for eligibility, the process involved in developing a successful KTP application, and the support available from the KTP Centre team.

KTPs provide an excellent opportunity to apply your research expertise to help address the strategic challenges of an industry partner.  With a 90% success rate, and with projects employing a full-time research Associate to undertake a challenging and innovative 1-to-3-year project, KTPs provide an excellent opportunity to develop new and existing relationships with industry partners while generating impactful research outcomes.

This session is for any academics who are keen to find out more about KTPs – including the recent updates to the funding scheme – or who have projects which could be suitable for a KTP, and will cover the following areas:

  • Eligibility criteria and application process for KTPs
  • Different types of KTP (including the new Public Sector Management KTPs)
  • Academic benefits arising from undertaking a KTP
  • An overview of the advice and support available to develop a strong KTP

The session will also include time for a question-and-answer session to ask any questions about KTP and the proposal development process.
