This session is for any researchers new to impact or that have received feedback relating to the impact elements of their proposal and will look at steps you can take to simplify the process and make it work for you.

The ability to embed feasible and time-bound impact into a grant proposal is a capability expected by many funders. Planning a S.M.A.R.T and convincing pathway to impact can seem daunting but there are steps you can take to simplify the process and make it work it for you.

This session is for any researchers new to impact or that have recieved feedback relating to the impact elements of their proposal and will look at:

  • what is required to create a S.M.A.R.T and convincing pathway to impact
  • steps that you can take to strengthen your pathway if you have one already prepared
  • the common pitfalls to look out for and what to avoid when embedding impact
  • practical advice on what you can do to strengthen the impact elements of your proposal

The course will also include time for a short ‘ask me anything’ session about embedding impact into research proposals.
