The climate change debate has moved into a different phase. Its no longer about raising awareness, but rather about deciding how to change.
That change will be felt strongly in Aberdeen, the "Oil Capital of Europe" as our reliance on fossil fuels drops. The University of Aberdeen is conducting major research into climate mitigation and adaptation, teaching courses that will skill the next generation to make the moves we need, and it will be a big regional partner on the journey to Net Zero. As a community we need to talk about the path so we do it right. Join members of staff and representatives from the community for a free panel discussion on what Aberdeen's energy future should look like.
The Panel will include
Tavis Potts, Dean of Sustainability, University of Aberdeen
John Underhill, Director of the Centre for Energy Transition, University of Aberdeen
Ainhoa Burgos, Vice President for Communities, Aberdeen University Students Association
Erik Dalhuijsen, co-founder of Aberdeen Climate Action
Jenny Stanning, External Relations Director, Offshore Energies UK
The event would be of interest to staff and students of the University of Aberdeen and members of the wider community.Event Details
