An Introduction to Quantum Computing

University of Aberdeen staff are invited to attend this online session on the fundamentals and use of quantum computing.
The session will comprise of the following:
- A brief introduction to some of the fundamental concepts of quantum computing.
- An overview of the different software/platforms available to using quantum computing capabilities.
- A demonstration of how to use such capabilities to “write a program” that implement a famous search algorithm, the Grover Algorithm. The demo will be delivered using IBM's Composer platform.
The content of the session will include some computing science but will be non-mathematical in nature.
