The increasing sophistication and integration of Microcontroller Units (MCUs), Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) have reshaped the landscape of electronic systems, bringing along a new set of security challenges. As these technologies flourish, it becomes more critical than ever to ensure that they remain impervious to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
In this online seminar, Huimin Li, an imminent Ph.D. graduate from the Cyber Security research group at the EEMCS faculty of Delft University of Technology, will illustrate how the HW/SW co-design approach, combining the strengths of both hardware and software, can be harnessed to build fortified security systems. She will delve into the utilization of the RISC-V based platform and SoC FPGA platform for security-sensitive applications, emphasizing the design of cryptographic algorithms and Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs).
