In this talk, historians Dr Jackson Armstrong and William Hepburn explain how the grisly history of medieval Aberdeen came to life as the video game "Strange Sickness", funded via Kickstarter.

In the game players begin their journey in 1498 as Robert Collison, a young Aberdeen Town Council member faces the terrifying challenge of a deadly plague threatening his community. Dr Armstrong led the Burgh records research on which the game is based and was directly involved in making the game, and his talk will focus on this process.

This talk is part of a series of short talks covering a range of fascinating topics from gaming to exploration. Each talk will be 20 minutes long with time for Questions at the end. Book in for one talk or all!
