Join us for this inspiring event celebrating women all over the world - #EachForEqual

International Women's Day which falls on the 8th of March each year, has been celebrated across the world since the early 1900's. Originally, its aim was to provide a forum for women to campaign for equality and women’s rights. Over time, it has evolved and now in March each year, thousands of events are held throughout the world to recognise the progress that has been made, to inspire women and to celebrate their achievements.

This event aims to not only inspire women, but to empower and encourage women to harness their talents and raise the profile of issues that are central to career development for female colleagues, at both a local and national level.

We look forward to welcoming our keynote speakers Professor Linley Lord, Pro-Vice Chancellor and President of Curtin University Singapore, Gail Kent, Global Policy Lead at Facebook and Dr Linda Papadopoulos one of the most recognisable and well-respected psychologists working in the UK today.

Keynote talks

  • Professor Linley Lord: A question of confidence? - Focussing on organisational systems and structures that continue to impede women’s careers but playing on the comments that the lack of women in leadership results from women’s lack of confidence.
  • Gail Kent: A Beautiful Mess of Contrdictions - Handling internal and external contradictions, challenging your own and others’ perceptions and creating and grabbing opportunities with both hands!
  • Dr Linda Papadopoulos: The Psychology of Success: Getting what you think you deserve - Exploring how we think about our abilities in turn dictates behaviours, action and outcomes.

All are welcome!
