Emotional Intelligence and the Link to Effective Leadership

This is a past event

Emotional intelligence or EI is the ability to understand and manage your own emotions, and those of the people around you. People with a high degree of emotional intelligence know what they're feeling, what their emotions mean, and how these emotions can affect other people.

For leaders, having emotional intelligence is essential for success. After all, who is more likely to succeed - a leader who shouts at his team when he's under stress, or a leader who stays in control, and calmly assesses the situation?

In the workshop the following aspects will be considered:1. Self-awareness.2. Self-regulation.3. Motivation.4. Empathy.5. Social skills.

In this business breakfast Trevor intends to examine Emotional Intelligence and the links to effective leadership. Trevor will introduce the principles of emotional intelligence and research findings for business. He will also include a practical element so that participants can assess their own emotional intelligence - hopefully a productive beginning to the day

There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be provided. Attendees will receive a certificate for one hour of continuing professional development (CPD).

This workshop is limited to 30 places, register now to guarantee your place.
