Annual conference of the British Forum of Ethnomusicology, held from 11-14 April 2019 and hosted by The Elphinstone Institute, University of Aberdeen. The theme of this year's conference is 'Collaborative Ethnomusicology'
The conference will be taking place in the MacRobert Building from 11-14 April 2019. The theme of the conference is 'Collaborative Ethnomusicology' and the conference includes wine reception, hosted by Taylor & Francis, Ice Cream Social, hosted by the Society for Ethnomusicology. The keynote speaker will be Professor Mellonee Burnim speaking on 'Hidden Musical Transcripts in National Rituals of Mourning and Marriage: A British Royal Wedding, An (African) American Funeral.'
