A leading academic from the School of Engineering has recently been made a Fellow of The Institution of Chemical Engineers.
Dr Waheed Afzal received the honour in recognition of his valuable contributions to the profession of chemical engineering while providing leadership in education and research in sustainable process engineering.
Being made a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (FIChemE), is the highest grade of recognition for Chartered Chemical Engineers. Fellows are in a position of senior responsibility and have made a significant contribution to the profession through their excellence of experience, leadership, and technical or research contributions.
Dr Afzal said: “I am very excited to learn about this development and a looking forward to play a broader role within chemical engineering community.”
