Ikechukwu Onyegiri

Ikechukwu graduated from Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria in 2010, with a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering after which he completed his MSc in Oil and Gas Engineering at the University of Aberdeen in 2013. He then went on to work as a Project Engineer at Eureqa Engineering Solutions for two years before returning to university in 2015 to commence his PhD studies. Current research interests include numerical modelling of subsea pipe-in-pipe mechanics under high pressure / high temperature loading, composite pipe end-fittings and novel joint configurations for subsea sandwich pipe.

 

Sadik Omairey

B.Sc. holder from Tikrit University, done over three years in the industry before was granted a fully funded scholarship to study M.Sc. degree in South Wales University. After completing the degree, Sadik went to university teaching in both Iraq and China. Recently, was granted an Elphinstone scholarship to complete a PhD degree in the University of Aberdeen. The main subject area is Multiscale fibre reinforced composite design, a reliability based optimisation approach.

 

Natalia Gomez Lopez

She studied a BSc in Architecture at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). After that she studied an MSc in Urban Studies, specialized in Urban and Environmental Management at El Colegio de Mexico.Natalia is a professional with 13 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environmental planning in the oil and gas industry, specifically working for Pemex Exploration and Production in Mexico. After working from 2001-2014 in the industry she won a sponsorship from CONACYT-SENER-PEMEX to study a PhD in engineering at the University of Aberdeen with the project entitled “Risk Management Model for Brownfield Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering”, which mainly focuses on the decommissioning stage of a field development.


Babatunde Lashore

Tunde graduated from the University of Lagos in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. And completed his Master’s degree in Oil and Gas Engineering (Previously Energy Futures – Oil and Gas), with Distinction at the University of Aberdeen in 2009. He is currently studying for a PhD in Engineering in the area of Computational Multi-Fluids Dynamics. Tunde is also a Chartered Engineer, with over 6yrs working experience. He is competent in Process Engineering, Well Testing, Drilling and Well Engineering.

 

 

Ojotule P. Onoja

Ojotule P Onoja is currently striving for a mastery in the kinetics of heterogeneous catalysis. He graduated from Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria in 2010 with BEng in Chemical Engineering. He has served in key positions from the Oil Refining Industry to the Academics and he's currently an SCI Mover at the University of Aberdeen.

 

Dr Khaled H. Ahmed

Received the B.Sc. (first class honours) and M.Sc. degrees from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt in 2002 and 2004, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in power electronics applications from the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, University of Strathclyde, UK, 2008. Currently Dr. Ahmed is a Senior Lecturer in Power Electronics at the University of Aberdeen, UK. He is a senior member of the IEEE Power Electronics and Industrial Electronics societies. Dr Ahmed has published over 80 technical papers in refereed journals and conferences. His research interests are renewable energy integration, high power converters, off-shore wind energy, DC/DC converters, HVDC, and smart grids.
