The Molecular Dynamics (MD) is a vast research field attempting to model natural phenomena on a wide span of length&time scales ranging from atomistic (angstrom: 10-10m) to tissue/material fragment(micrometer:10-6m) length scales as well as from picoseconds (QM/MM simulations) to microseconds (protein folding, membrane protein function) time scales.
