Cafe Scientifique Aberdeen City series invites leading experts to share the latest in scientific research with the public in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where questions and discussions are encouraged.

A Pictish Power Centre at Rhynie and Tap o' Noth: Recent Progress

Join Professor Gordon Noble for an update on his ground breaking research on Pictish society in the North East.

The landscape of the North East of Scotland is home to unique archaeology and to date the University’s work, led by Professor Noble, has had spectacular success in uncovering major and undocumented Pictish Royal centres at Rhynie and Tap o’Noth. The archaeology has involved everything from traditional excavations to scaling sea cliffs!
