Location

About a mile and a half west of Inverurie
Inverurie, Aberdeenshire

OS Map Reference

Description

A wonderful cut steel sign of a Clydesdale Horse in working harness, the harness detail suggests a working horseman's intimate knowledge, this plus the style and overall condition suggest it is of considerable age.

Related Information

The style is reminiscent of the plywood cut outs done by the famous William Robbie (1887-1967) but I have never heard of him having made any steel signs.

Era

1900s
