An example of a highly decorated neo-Gothic Victorian church pipe organ with gold-leaf and painted ornamentation.

The plaque shown in the photo "Organ Detail" reads "Wadsworth Manchester".

The first organist: John Wardle was the local representative of Messrs Wadsworth Brothers of Manchester, who actually built and tuned the organ, holding office as organist from 1882 till his death 2 years after the Second World War broke out.
