No one knows if we will be in the clear or still in the grip of the virus in late July.
This is what we plan to do:
• In May we will make a decision whether or not to go ahead, based on government advice.
• We ask people to 'book' now by email or by downloading the form and posting, but not to send any money as yet.
• If and when we get the all clear we'll contact those 'booked' to request payment.
• If there is any doubt about whether we can go ahead with the festival, we'll cancel 2020 and run 2021 with the same guests if they are available. The Festival is a unique celebration, bringing together outstanding traditional singers from Scotland, England, and Ireland. The event is especially for those who like to hear, enjoy, and join in unaccompanied traditional singing. Essentially informal, friendly and non-competitive, it will be just the place to encourage the young and less experienced as well as the old hands. The weekend includes ceilidhs featuring the guest singers, singarounds for everyone who wants to join in, workshops, craft demonstrations and a talk.
