The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival is an annual event in its 21st year, with growing recognition nationally and internationally as a unique encapsulation of the region's rich maritime and rural heritage. Now facing the opportunities and challenges of development, from a weekend's celebration, into a social enterprise with growing impact on the community.
Roger Goodyear has forty plus years in international marketing with Unilever, Nabisco, Baxters of Speyside, and then his own marketing agency based in UK and the US. Since retirement, he has taken on the chairmanship of the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival, chair of Banffshire Coast Tourism Partnership, board member of Banffshire Partnership, and chair of Portsoy Links Caravan Park Ltd.
