Join us for an evening of insight and discussion on traditional music projects in the community. We'll hear from three traditional music organisations running educational activities in north-east Scotland about their work.
Presenters will showcase their projects, discuss the successes and issues faced in carrying out their work and share any lessons learned in the process.

SC&T Youth
SC&T Youth currently provides exciting, high quality online opportunities for young people interested in Scottish traditional music! This includes weekly classes, taster sessions, a summer Youth Camp, and fantastic Spotlight Sessions. The majority of our events are totally free to make it as accessible as possible for every young person.
Dee and Don Ceilidh Collective
Their project entitled 'Our Living Rivers and Glens - a musical exploration', is funded by Creative Scotland and aims to encourage participants to explore and respond creatively to their local environment and our unique local landscapes. Through the educational strand of the project, participants also learn new music created by guest composers. Gathering together to play and enjoy music both on and offline is another important project activity.

Ballad School
As part of the new North East Ballad School project Janice Clark ran a series of ten, one-hour, on-line workshops for adult singers who were interested in learning some of the beautiful North East Ballads.
Presentations will be followed by a discussion. Audiences will be most welcome to contribute.
